Students in the 5th grade have the opportunity to join beginning band. During their first year of instruction, students focus on learning not only the fundamentals of their instrument, but also the necessary music fundamentals that will allow them to become productive band members.
The book used by the beginning band class is Standard of Excellence by Bruce Pearson.
